Bloodthorn will play this years Hole In The Sky festival, taking place at the USF Verft in Bergen, Norway, August 22-25'th.
Bloodthorn will be playing Saturday the 25'th along with bands such as Immortal, Kreator, Sabbat, Destroyer 666 and Nifelheim.

Back from tour and all's well! A big cheers to the crew and the bands we travelled with! We now continue writing material for the follow-up to this years Genocide, and have booked studio for April 2007.
This year has been good for the band and we send a big thanx to everyone who came to the shows, bought the album, the crews we worked with, the record labels and of course our manager, Mr. Grav who went far and beyond to make things work out for us. See you bastards on the road in 2007 - skål!

Server problems & new website
Some might have noticed that our website was down for a while. This was due to serverbreakdown at our webhost. We have now been moved to another server so hopefully things will be running smoothly. However, email sent to us between august 1st and 9th might have been lost, so if you wrote us in that period, please resend it. We just came back from Wacken where we played the Party stage on Saturday. Had a great fuckin' time, met a lot of old friends made some new ones and had plenty to drink! Special thanx to Håkon, Rune and Cato and of course Kate... A big thanx also goes out to the Wacken festival crew for making the gig and the whole weekend a killer!The week before we did a local festival up here - Storåsfestivalen, so thanx to everyone who showed up and thrashed out in front of the stage.

Back from tour
We¹ve now been home from the European tour for about a month and we¹re back at the rehearsal place, writing material for the next album - it won¹t be five years this time!
But back to the tour; we had a great time and got to blast through a bunch of new countries. Thanx to everyone who showed up and gave their support. And of course a special thanx to the crew and the bands: Joey, Kate, Simon, Marcel, Carpathian Forest, Hate and Keep of Kalessin.

Next up for Bloodthorn is Wacken Open Air where we play Saturday 5th of August at the Party Stage.

Bloodthorn on tour
We'll be roaming through Europe from May 1st through 14th, supporting Carpathian Forest on their European tour. See the Tours/gigs section for dates and locations.
In November we'll be out on the road again, this time with Vader on the Scandinavian part of their Blitzkrieg 4 Tour. Dates will be from the 11th through 25th of November. More info and schedule will come later..

We are glad to officially welcome our new guitarist Sverre Berntsen to the ranks of Bloodthorn. He's been with us for a couple of months now and has survived his first battle; the Genocide release-party at Blæst last month.A bunch of new photos from the release-party has been uploaded to the MEDIA-section. New album "GENOCIDE" OUT NOW !!!
Bloodthorn’s fourth studio album titled Genocide is out NOW !!! Recorded in Godt Selskap Studio in our hometown Trondheim, Genocide is the first Bloodthorn album featuring guitarist Ihizahg (ex Perished, Wurdulak and live guitarist for Mayhem). He’s been workin with us for several years now and wrote a good deal of the material on the new album which will be the heaviest and mostextreme Bloodthorn album to this day. The album will as 2001’s “Under the Reign of Terror” be out on Red Stream Inc. (US/World), but a licensing deal for Europe has been penned with newly started Morningstar Records (distributed through Plastic Head). This will surely ease and improve the availability of the album for our European fans.
